MY JOURNEY

THE IMPORTANCE OF CHILDHOOD

Growing up I remember my father growing food in large gardens, my mother jarring tomatoes and vacation being a tent in the woods. I believe this is where my journey of wellness began, in childhood, in Nature.

 

GROWING PAINS

All young adults experience stress, unfortunately exposure to healthy coping options is limited and anti-depressants and anti-anxiety pills are too easily prescribed without any alternatives.  During a particularly stressful semester at school, even I was offered a prescription after only 30 minutes with a psychologist.  Fortunately I declined that offer.  I believed in myself and knew I could learn to manage my stress in a natural way.

 

NATURAL HELP

Ultimately I did get through that stressful semester and I graduated with a degree in Physical Geography.  I attribute that success to my beginning a practice of yoga, tai chi and zen meditation.  During this time I also began eating a healthy diet and used cannabis as a medicinal herb to support my mind and body.   I'll always remember college as the beginning of my self care and healthy practices - thanks to saying no thank you to conventional medicine.

INNER PEACE

Let's be honest, life is challenging and we all struggle with finding the time to slow down, quiet the mind and disconnect from our increasingly technological world.  However we need this time for inner peace more than ever.  The Living Tree is here to help us cultivate that inner peace through nature inspired practices of meditation and yoga, body therapy and CBD supplements.  When we embrace the wisdom of nature inner peace comes naturally.  Read more about Inner Peace Therapies Here.

WHY CBD

CBD and Inner Peace are like two peas in a pod for me.  Personally it helps me to relax, focus and quiet the mind chatter which is so important for cultivating inner peace.  So when CBD became legal in most states in 2018 I began pairing it with inner peace offerings for clients including nature walks, meditation, yoga and massage.  Now, it is my hope through consultations and experiences to foster educated cannabis consumers, as the literature becomes ever more difficult to navigate.  Read more about CBD Here.
